Abstract

In 1992, Postlethwaite1 wrote an article for Dental Update entitled ‘Advances in fixed appliance design and use’. These have resulted in improved efficiency, convenience and simplicity in using fixed appliance orthodontics. This article is intended to be an update in these advances over the last 10 years.
