Abstract
The MFGDP(UK) was introduced by the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners in 1992. Since its inception the examination has remained unchanged. The Faculty of General Dental Practitioners has introduced a new format for the MFGDP(UK) in order to respond to change in professional requirements and also respond to educational research concerning validity of its process.
