  Q1.  I'm an existing user, how do I login to the new site?

Question 1: I'm an existing user, how do I login to the new site?

If you used to login to the old site using your Surname and DU number you will need to migrate your account before using the new site. To do this click here to go to the User Login page and enter your Surname and DU number in the Update User Account fields near the bottom of the page. Click on Submit and follow the instructions to update your account.

Question 2: My subscription has ended, how do I access and complete the CPD for the final issue in my subscription?

You receive immediate online access once your subscription order has been placed; therefore your one calendar year online access will not necessarily run concurrently with your 10 issue CPD entitlement. However you will receive an additional grace period from the expiry date of your subscription to the CPD close date of your final issue, during which time you can still access the final issue and complete it's CPD.

Question 3: I have forgotten my password, what do I do?

If you use an email address as a login User ID, click here and follow the instructions to reset your password. If you use an auto-generated User ID you will need to contact Dental Update support.

Question 4: I have completed CPD, but I am unable to download a certificate. Why is this?

The management of CPD had to change to make it more accountable and verifiable. An issue's CPD can now only be tied to a single CPD certificate which is maintained by the system so that it can be properly verified. Addressing this need required an infrastructure change which means that an issue's CPD can only be converted to a certificate and downloaded after the issue's CPD period has ended. We appreciate that this is a change in behaviour that will take some getting used to but it ensures that your CPD is verifiable.

Question 5: How do I view and print CPD Certificates?

CPD certificates are downloaded as PDF documents, to view and print them your computer must have a PDF viewer; if your computer does not have a viewer installed, click here to download and install Adobe® Reader for free.
